Let AC Services Provide All the Cooling Necessary to Make That Home Comfortable

Heating and cooling a home requires a substantial effort in moving heat from one place to another. This is true whether the system is a simple AC or a large HVAC (Heating, Ventilation and Air Conditioning) system designed to treat whole buildings. This is mostly because all refrigeration systems are actually heat exchange systems. That is, they move heat from one space to another. AC services in Baton Rouge can manage this feat with a forced air, centrally located air conditioner such as an HVAC, split or ductless units or a heat pump.

The HVAC typically uses dual cabinets to handle its work. The interior cabinet houses the furnace, air exchanger, evaporator coil and blower. This allows quickly distributing the treated air whether it is heated or chilled. The external cabinet houses the compressor, condenser coil and another fan to push the heat away. The function of the external condensing system is to compress the refrigerant and force a state change in the chemical. This allows the system to accumulate heat from around the evaporator coil and carry it outdoors. To understand why this happens, it is important to know that compressing the refrigerant actually lowers its temperature below that of the air surrounding the coil. This way, even when the home seems to be cooling, the AC can continue to cool it further.

If the cooling system is the split AC, then the condenser will send the compressed refrigerant to several blowers, up to eight per system. This allows a unique control over the temperature in the home that no other appliance can match. This is because each blower allows a custom setting to heat or cool its zone. Note that this implies the ductless system can heat as well as cool. This is done by reversing the compressor so it collects the heat from outside the home and brings it indoors.

Heat exchangers use a similar principle, but much less equipment to carry it out. The heat exchange still compresses a small amount of refrigerant so it can collect heat, it just moves the resultant heat very quickly. Heat exchange systems can use the air for collecting or releasing the heat or they may use an underground heat sink. Really complex heat exchangers make use of geothermal systems and may even be able to create electricity as well even though this process varies from heating and cooling.
