Texas might not seem like a state that would have amazing seafood dishes, but there are several excellent Houston seafood restaurants. Most of them are surf & turf restaurants that serve both fish and beef. Visit them all the Houston Seafood Restaurants at least once.
Brennen’s is often called the “Crown Jewel” of Texas. It is a Creole restaurant with award winning seafood dishes. Many of the dishes use blue crab, including Gulf Fish Pontchartain, Blue Crabcakes, and a Friend Green Tomato & Blue Crab appetizer. A visitor favorite is the banana fosters for dessert. The restaurant pride’s itself on making memories for the customers so they keep coming back.
Eddie V’s Prime Seafood
Eddie V’s is a mellow restaurant with sophistication. While you dine on elegant seafood you can listen to live Jazz music on the stage. There are two Eddie V’s locations in Houston, one at CityCenter and the other on West Ave. For seafood, you can enjoy salmon, swordfish, ahi tuna, sole, halibut, and sea bass. They also serve several Black Angus steaks.
Laurenzo’s Restaurant
Laurenzos Prime Rib and creamed corn are what keep people talking and the main reason guests visit the restaurant. The restaurant’s steaks and prime rib aren’t the only things worth enjoying, though. You can also enjoy the seafood choices including salmon and seafood gumbo. The menu is huge and fits everyone’s taste.
Masraff’s
Masraff’s looks like an elegant restaurant straight out of a modern art museum. It even has a patio overlooking a waterfall. Usually, all that elegance comes at a steep price, but Masraff’s keeps its prices lower so anyone can enjoy the ambiance. You can get gourmet dishes of quail, foie gras, calamari, lamb, scallops, halibut, and ahi tuna.
Pappadeaux Seafood Kitchen
There are Pappadeaux restaurants all over the country, technically making it a chain restaurant. Don’t let that fool you, though, because the place has top-notch seafood. You can get simple dishes including fried alligator, fried seafood platter, and cheese grits. Or try gourmet dishes including tilapia, salmon, catfish, and redfish. The prices vary, making it a good choice for any budget.
